WHO WE ARE
Ottoman Hands was founded in London in 2010 by Deniz Gurdal.
Inspired by her Turkish heritage, she started designing jewellery in her bedroom and selling them at a market stall on Portobello road. As demand grew, she soon discovered a small independent workshop in Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar that could help bring her designs to life.
Ottoman Hands was inspired by the hands of the artisans that create our unique jewellery. We still work with the same artisans to this day to create handmade, sustainable jewellery, inspired by antique designs with a contemporary twist.

Our designs
We create timeless jewellery in small batches, set apart from ephemeral trends, that truly stand out.
Our collections are hand-crafted by skilled artisans, gold-plated with up to 21ct for a high quality finish on recycled brass or recycled sterling silver and hand set with semi-precious gemstones, which makes every piece different and unique.

We have been using recycled metals since the very beginning of our brand, back in 2010, way before sustainability was the latest buzzword.
